Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday, April 9 that, starting this summer, the company will offer new low-fare, nonstop flights between the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) and Denver, Colo. Two conferences were simultaneously held in Northwest Arkansas and Denver to announce the news.
“We couldn’t be more pleased that XNA was selected as the 100th destination to be served by Frontier’s Denver hub. The addition of Frontier to the offerings provided by XNA’s air carriers brings an exciting new low-cost option for our customers,” Aaron Burkes, CEO of Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, says. “Our hope is that the community will embrace this new service by using it. When we can show Frontier that the citizens of Northwest Arkansas and beyond will fill their planes, it will provide us the opportunity to work with them to add additional Denver flights and potentially new destinations from this market. “
Frontier is currently offering one-way introductory fares for $39. The first flight from Denver to XNA will leave on June 27 before 6 p.m.
“We are proud to bring our unique brand of Low Fares Done Right to Northwest Arkansas,” says Jonathon Nield, Senior Manager of Network Planning for Frontier Airlines. “We will make air travel more accessible and affordable for everyone in the Bentonville/Fayetteville community, making it easier for people to fly and for people to fly more often.”
Frontier Airlines is also offering free flights for children under 14 flying with an adult using the Discount Den travel club on qualifying flights.
“We want to thank our new partners at Frontier Airlines for recognizing what a great business opportunity this is for them and how needed this service is for the people of Northwest Arkansas,” says Burkes.
