The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration awarded the World Trade Center Arkansas a $700,000 grant to help Arkansas businesses affected by the record flooding last spring followed by tornadoes in the fall in Arkansas.
The World Trade Center Arkansas will also receive an additional $175,000 in local investment with the grant to support the recovery efforts and offer international trade expansion opportunities for farmers and businesses in the twenty counties designated as major disasters by FEMA in 2019.
“We are very grateful for the support the Economic Development Administration is providing Arkansas through this grant,” said Dan Hendrix, president and CEO of the World Trade Center Arkansas.
“This partnership with EDA is critical for Arkansas businesses to expand globally resulting in jobs growth and retention.”
