Walmart will hold its annual shareholder’s meeting this year in June.
The meeting, which is set to be virtual only, will be held on Wednesday, June 2. The live audio webcast is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
During the meeting, shareholders will vote on formal business and proxy proposals for the Bentonville retailer. Shareholders entitled to vote will be allowed to vote online during the meeting or to vote electronically, online, by mail or by phone prior to the June 2 meeting.
Walmart will be filing a proxy statement in April, confirming the number of shares that can be voted before or during the meeting. The record date for shareholders is Friday, April 9.
The company has cancelled its annual Associate Celebration, typically held at the Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. However, a virtual celebration is planned for Friday, June 4.
