Arkansas is going international next week.
During Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Venture Center’s chief strategy officer, Mimi San Pedro, will be participating in a mentorship tour in Southeast Asia, helping to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Vietnam. Along with Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and Professional Fellows Program fellow, Xuan Do, San Pedro will be working with area entrepreneurs to develop business strategies.
“Mimi San Pedro wholly embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship and will represent The Venture Center and Arkansas extremely well,” said Wayne Miller, Executive Director of the Venture Center. “Governor Hutchinson has made entrepreneurship and innovation hallmarks of his administration, and we’re excited to showcase Arkansas’ many opportunities while helping to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Vietnam.”
Xuan Do is currently working on a business incubator in Vietnam, and the Venture Center has partnered with it to provide on-site mentoring. During her stay, San Pedro will train entrepreneurs and educators in marketing, as well as teach them about the Venture Center’s programs – which are designed to be replicable at different levels.
