Four new members will be joining the UA Little Rock Foundation Fund board of directors for three-year terms.
These new members include Ben Bailey, Alec Gaines, LaShannon Spencer and Erin Wood.
The board of directors oversee the UA Little Rock Foundation Fund’s activities, meeting four times per year. In their new roles, the recently appointed board members will support the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s goals, particularly in relation to private and public support.
Bailey is a partner at TMB Capital Partners and has 14 years of experience in the financial planning, investment management and life insurance sectors. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Sam M. Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas.
Gaines is a partner at Steel, Wright, Gray PLLC, practicing business, commercial and general litigation. He moved to Little Rock and worked at Williams & Anderson PLC from 2012 to 2020. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from North Carolina State University and attended law school in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Spencer is the CEO of Community Health Centers of Arkansas, providing the organization’s strategic direction. In this role, she oversees 12 health centers with more than 130 site locations.
Wood is the owner and director of Et Alia Press, which publishes nonfiction and children’s books of national interest that also have “strong ties to Arkansas.” The company also offers nonfiction and children’s book editing and publishing consultations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Duke University, a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law and a master’s degree in professional and technical writing from UA Little Rock.
