The Arkansas Human Development Corporation (AHDC) is offering a new grant to provide training and support for low-income seasonal and migrant farm workers.
In total, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration has awarded the AHDC $1,144,067 in funding. This grant, provided through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, will help unemployed or underemployed farm workers, coving the cost of assessment, counseling and training.
Services offered through this grant will be available from July 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, and will be available statewide.
To obtain support services, call 1-800-842-7641, extension 0 or email Linda Scott at lscott@arhdc.org.
