The Memphis and Shelby County Land Use Control Board unanimously approved a Topgolf venue for the city of Memphis on Thursday April 14. According to a Twitter announcement from Commissioner Jerred Price, the venue will be located off Callis-Cutoff Road, near the Memphis-Germantown border.
Topgolf is a sports entertainment complex that features an inclusive, high-tech golf game complete with food and drinks and space for parties and events. The company has locations nationwide, including nearby Nashville and Chattanooga.
An opening date has not yet been confirmed, but reports estimate the new entertainment complex will create 300 new jobs and $1 million in annual tax revenue for the City of Memphis and Shelby County.
Topgolf opened its first Arkansas location in Rogers on May 25, 2021. The Topgolf Live stadium tour is coming to Fayetteville’s Razorback Stadium this spring, May 5-8. Topgolf Live is an immersive experience where players can enjoy a unique game of golf inside fan-favorite stadiums.
