Three Arkansas Business Hall of Fame inductees will be participating in a virtual fireside chat in February.
On Thursday, Feb. 25, Gerald Alley, Joe T. Ford and Johnelle Hunt will be speaking as part of a “Presenting the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame” event. This fireside chat will be hosted by the Arkansas Alumni Association and the Sam M. Walton College of Business.
Walton College of Business dean Matt Waller will moderate the event.
Alley was named to the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame in 2020, the most recent year members were inducted. The 1973 University of Arkansas graduate founded Con-Real LP, a Texas-based construction, real estate, project management and technology company.
Ford was inducted into the hall of fame in 2000. He began his career with Allied Telephone, becoming the president of the company in 1977 and was later named chairman of Alltel Corporation. He is currently the co-founder and chairman of Westrock Coffee Company.
Hunt, alongside her late husband J.B. Hunt, founded J.B. Hunt Transport Services. They were inducted into the hall of fame as a couple in 2001.
The fireside chat will be held via Zoom on Feb. 25 at 9 a.m.
