The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) has appointed two new leaders for its alumni relations department.
Alison Taylor has been named as the executive director for the Office of Alumni Relations, while Morgan Drayton has been tapped to serve as the assistant director. Both Taylor and Drayton began their duties on July 1.
“Alison and Morgan have both served UCA well for the past few months. Even during this pandemic, they worked to launch new programs and expand existing ones to continue strengthening the connection with alumni,” Mary Lackie, interim vice president for Institutional Advancement, said in a statement. “I know they will continue to bring innovative ideas and opportunities to our alumni.”
Taylor and Drayton will be overseeing multiple programs and initiatives in the Office of Alumni Relations. The department previously launched two intiatives: the Bears Online Readers’ Den, an online community that connects UCA alumni and enjoy books and hold online discussions, as well as the Bears Supporting Bears Online Business Directory, a public online directory of UCA alumni-owned businesses.
Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Arkansas Tech University as well as master’s degrees in college student personnel, emergency management and homeland security. She previously served as the assistant director for Arkansas Tech’s Office of Alumni Relations.
Drayton obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCA and previously was an alumni relations specialist for the university.
