Diventures, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing network of swim and scuba centers, revealed its latest geographic expansion with the acquisition of The Dive Shop and Nautilus Aquatics, adding five new locations – including one in Little Rock.
These acquisitions move Diventures into a new part of the country, allowing the expansion of current offerings and building upon the legacies of The Dive Shop and Nautilus Aquatics. Because of their hard work, Diventures has a solid foundation to elevate water safety and enjoyment to new levels through swim, scuba, travel and ocean health education.
“We are eager to learn from both The Dive Shop and Nautilus Aquatics and continue to serve their customers with the level of expertise and trust they are used to, but with even more resources and enhanced aquatic opportunities in the future,” said Dean Hollis, founder and owner of Diventures. “We will retain that ‘local dive shop’ feel they love and bring Diventures’ safety-focused swim program, travel calendar and state-of-the-art aquatics training facilities to these communities. This is also perfect timing to energize our kid programming to create new aquatic enthusiasts across all our locations, developing students into ocean lovers and safe divers.”
“When you build a business that stands the test of time, you want its legacy to regenerate with scale to offer even more to your staff and customers,” stated Doug McNeese, former owner of The Dive Shop. “This is the essence of The Dive Shop and Diventures business model. After working with Dean and his team for the last 13 years, we are confident the expertise, professionalism and skill that Diventures offers will only enhance the current experience at The Dive Shop.”
Diventures has big plans for these communities, including:
- A new 8,000+ square-foot state-of-the-art swim and scuba center
- A best-in-class indoor heated pool with a depth of 12′
- A beautiful retail store
- Comfortable classrooms
- A diamond-level scuba service center
- A world-class swim program
- A concierge travel center, providing extensive US-based and international group and private scuba adventures, offering over 100 trips per year
