Sunstar Insurance Group has added Kevin Cortez as executive vice president of Farris Insurance in Springdale.
Cortez is an industry veteran in Northwest Arkansas who most recently served as regional vice president for MagMutual.
Sunstar was founded in 2012 in Memphis. Sunstar Arkansas has more than 50 employees working from offices in Little Rock, Jonesboro, Paragould and Springdale. Sunstar purchased the Farris agency in 2020 and has expanded six times in Arkansas since September 2017.
In addition to Arkansas, Sunstar has offices in Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Alabama and Georgia.
