Back in November, voters in Rogers and Bentonville voted in favor of selling alcohol on Sundays. The election results have now been officially certified, according to the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC).
Alcohol can be purchased on Sundays within the two cities beginning Jan. 1, 2023.
Voters in Rogers were 70% in favor of the change, while Bentonville voters were 74% in favor.
The organization that started the campaign for Sunday alcohol sales, Keep Our Dollars Local, was confident from the beginning that this would be the result.
Chairman of Keep Our Dollars Local, Clay Kendall, told 5 News he believes this will be a great change for the community, its local business owners and its taxpaying citizens to be able to keep those sales tax dollars.
