Well-known Arkansas car dealer Steve Landers said Monday that he’s considering running for Little Rock mayor in 2022.
Landers is currently seeking feedback from city residents regarding improvements that they would like to see done as well as implemented initiatives. He told Arkansas Money & Politics that he wants to do more for his community.
“I’ve spent 50 years doing business all around the world, and employed thousands of people. I’ve made the decision that things aren’t running as well as they should, and I’m in an exploratory phase to see if the rest of Little Rock feels the same way,” Landers said. “Frank Scott Jr. is a great guy and I like him, but I feel like I can offer a different twist. I believe that the city is a business and should be run like a business.”
Landers said he would announce his decision at the end of August or the beginning of September.
