The Startup Junkies Podcast has hit an intentional milestone. The entrepreneur-focused podcast, a product of Startup Junkie Consulting and Startup Junkie Foundation, has been downloaded in 100 countries, not counting the United States.
Launched in 2015, the podcast has transformed into a weekly show that features entrepreneurs and other guests from around Arkansas and the United States. In addition to being the founder and managing director of Startup Junkie Consulting, Jeff Amerine has served as the host of the podcast since its inception. Caleb Talley, Startup Junkie’s director of marketing and events, serves as Amerine’s co-host.
“The Startup Junkies Podcast is an unscripted, freewheeling discussion with innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world,” Amerine said in a statement. “Listeners learn about the entrepreneurial journey, key insights in building businesses, new emerging industries, random rants about just about anything, and maybe a bit about the beer or cider the hosts are drinking during the podcast.”
According to Startup Junkie, Canada is the biggest international market for the podcast, accounting for 14 percent of its international downloads with Australia coming in at second with nine percent.
Europe as a whole makes up 16 percent of the international downloads. Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Sweden make up the majority of those downloads.
This 100 international countries milestone comes as the podcast prepares to break through 100,000 total downloads. In total, there have been more than 200 episodes released to date, and there have been approximately 90,000 total downloads since the podcast first kicked off in November 2017.
