Simmons Bank and the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA) are joining forces to establish a new amateur golf event, the Simmons Bank Cup.
Under a five- year agreement, Simmons Bank will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Ryder Cup-style event. The inaugural event will be held at the TPC Southwind golf course in Memphis, Tenn. from April 11 to 13, 2021.

“The Simmons Bank Cup is primed to be a premier event at a world class course, in which the best players from Arkansas and Tennessee participate and help us grow excitement around the game,” ASGA board of directors president Joe Mowery said in a statement. “Simmons Bank has been a fixture of Arkansas for more than a century and ASGA is delighted to partner of this new endeavor.”
Simmons Bank will also sponsor the “Monk” Wade Junior Classic annual event in Little Rock, under the terms of the agreement. This tournament, which is open to male and female golfers from ages seven to 18, will be held May 8-9, 2021 at the First Tee of Central Arkansas.
