Marketing veteran Michelle Rupp has joined Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, a nonprofit healthcare improvement organization, in a newly created position. Rupp is joining the organization as its vice president of marketing, communications and strategic development.
According to AFMC President and CEO Ray Hanley, Rupp’s role will be instrumental in the company’s move toward diversifying its range of customers. “Michelle will lead initiatives in communications and strategic development as we work towards diversifying our customer base,” he said in a statement
Prior to joining AFMC, Rupp served as the director of public relations and communications at Arkansas Heart Hospital. A 20-year veteran of the marketing and public relations field, she has also worked at the American Red Cross and was the main anchor at WCAV in Charlottesville, VA., and reporter at KATV in Little Rock.
“I am thrilled to join such a talented group and look forward to bringing my experience to this organization,” Rupp said.
Rupp holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Central Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in geosciences from Mississippi State University.
