Drake Waterfowl Systems announced Thursday that Jim Ronquest is joining the company as vice president of Development. Ronquest is a renowned waterfowl enthusiast in the outdoor industry, as producer and co-host of The Sportsman Channel’s RNT-V series and 2006 Duck Calling world champion.
Drake Waterfowl Systems, based in Olive Branch, Mississippi, makes and sells hunting, fishing and casual apparel for outdoor enthusiasts sold under the Drake brand name. Founded in 2002, Drake was the first company to design technical apparel specifically for waterfowl hunting.
In his new role, Ronquest will be responsible for cultivating and managing industry partnerships and relationships on behalf of Drake, and supporting Drake through content production and product development. Ronquest comes to Drake after spending over 25 years with Stuttgart-based Rich-N-Tone (RNT) Calls, who congratulated Ronquest on his new endeavor Thursday morning in a social media post.
“Congratulations to [Jim] and his new position with Drake Waterfowl Systems,” an RNT representative wrote. “Jim has been affiliated with Rich-N-Tone Calls, Inc. since the early ’90s. Jim played an integral part in the growth of the RNT brand as well as spearheading our venture into outdoor television with RNT-V.
“Jim, otherwise known as “Jimbo” or “Partner,” has certainly left his mark on the RNT brand and duck hunters from all over the country,” RNT continued. “All the years of dedication aside… Jim, you, Rosie and Jenna (Peanut) are RNT Family and we wish you the best! From all of us at RNT Calls, we look forward to a continued relationship! We’ll be seeing ya, Partner!”
According to the RNT social media post, Ronquest will still be involved in the Rocking R Duck Call line.
