LITTLE ROCK – Rock City Harley-Davidson will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its future 41,875 square-foot-facility and training course at the Gateway Town Center in Little Rock at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13.
“We’re excited to make this investment in Little Rock, where many residents already enjoy the sport of motorcycle riding,” said Gene Whisenhunt, President of Hickingbotham Investments, Inc. “Once complete, this facility will allow us to introduce even more riders to the Harley-Davidson experience.”
The facility will include an expanded showroom that will display the six families of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a state of the art service department and an expanded offering of Harley-Davidson clothing, parts and accessories. The facility, designed by Lewis Architects Engineers, will also include a one-and-a-half acre training course to benefit both new and experienced riders. Baldwin & Shell will serve as the project’s general contractor.
“Central Arkansas is truly a motorcycle community,” said Joel Britt, general manager. “This new facility will ensure we can continue to provide the very best products and service while also allowing us to host more events to grow the Harley-Davidson family.”
Rock City Harley-Davidson will be relocated from its current location at 10210 Interstate 30 to the new facility once construction is complete in late spring 2019. It will join other notable attractions in Gateway Town Center including Bass Pro Shops, the Outlets of Little Rock, Movie Tavern, Dave & Buster’s and several other retailers and restaurants.
Rock City Harley-Davidson and its sister location in Conway, Arkansas, Toad Suck Harley-Davidson, are part of the Hickingbotham Investments organization. This group owns additional Harley-Davidson locations in Nashville, Madison and Cookeville, Tennessee and Oklahoma City and Edmond, Oklahoma. Hickingbotham Investments also owns automobile dealerships, restaurant equipment and supply companies, home furniture and accessories, and real estate holdings.
