Morning Mayhem member RJ Hawk announced on Tuesday, Dec. 27. that he would be leaving the popular radio morning show.
Hawk has worked full-time for The Buzz for last 14 years, and while he is stepping down from Morning Mayhem, he says he will continue to be around to help with high school sports coverage, and will fill-in as a host when available.
“As I sit here and write this, I think back to the very first time I stepped through the doors here at Signal media. I was a 22-year-old kid eager to start a career in broadcasting. From producing the Sunday Buzz with Bill Vickery, covering countless live sporting events, to being able to spend a majority of my career with an Arkansas Radio legend, Tommy Smith, the ride has been something that I have absolutely loved,” Hawk said in his statement. “One of the things I’m most proud of is how we’ve grown our coverage of high school sports in the state of Arkansas. The relationships that I’ve built between coaches and players is something that means the world to me.”
Hawk also thanked his fellow Morning Mayhem members, David Bazzel, Roger Scott and Justin Moore for supporting him in his journey.
AY Media Group President and Publisher, Heather Baker, appears on 103.7 The Buzz every Friday morning to discuss weekend plans with the Morning Mayhem team.
