The Arkansas Razorbacks will be facing off against the Texas Longhorns in primetime when September rolls around.
Head Coach Sam Pittman’s Hogs will host the Longhorns at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. The game will be televised in primetime on ESPN.
Since 1894, the Razorbacks and the Longhorns have faced each other on the gridiron 78 times, with the upcoming game being the 79thgame between the two teams. This will be the first game between the rivals since the 2014 Texas Bowl and the first regular season game since 2008.
Currently, Texas dominates the rivalry with a win-loss ratio of 56-22.
This will be the Hogs’ second game in the 2021 season. The team will open the season in Fayetteville against Rice University on Saturday, Sept. 4. ON Saturday, Sept. 18, the Hogs will remain at home to play Georgia Southern.
The Razorbacks will head to Texas on Saturday, Sept. 25 to play Texas A&M at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, followed by an away game in Athens, Ga. on Saturday, Oct. 2 playing Georgia. The team will remain on the road the following week to play Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss.
Auburn will face off against the Razorbacks on Saturday, Oct. 16 in Fayetteville. Saturday, Oct. 23 will see the Razorbacks head down to Little Rock to play the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at War Memorial Stadium before returning home for a Nov. 6 game against Mississippi State.
The new two games will be away for the Razorbacks. They will play LSU on Nov. 13 in Baton Rouge and Alabama on Nov. 20 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The time regular season game will be against Missouri on Friday, Nov. 26 in Fayetteville.
