The Pulaski County Special School District announced that it will issue a proposal to require all students, staff and guests to wear masks indoors.
The proposal comes after Pulaski County Circuit Judge Tim Fox issued an injunction against the state’s mask ban law on Friday. Act 1002 had banned mask requirements from public entities including schools.
Due to Fox’s injunction, PCSSD Superintendent Dr. Charles McNulty will propose Tuesday night to the PCSSD board that masks be required indoors for all staff, students and guests, effective immediately.Â
After 60 days, in consultation with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), PCSSD will review the indoor mask requirement, officials said.
