A historical building in the center of Fayetteville has a new future. The Old Post Office building in Fayetteville has just sold after being on the market for a year. The new owner, Arnold Holdings LLC paid $2.28 million for the 13,500-square-foot building.
The Old Post Office building was built in 1911 and was a post office until 1964. The building has since been home to offices and restaurants and was also where the military would recruit soldiers during World War II.
The listing agent for the Old Post Office Building was Steve Fineberg from Fineberg and Associates. According to Fineberg, there was a lot of interest in the building. “We had calls from Dallas, Kansas City, St. Louis and Tulsa, A lot of U of A graduates came to look at it and consider it,” Fineberg said.
Before Arnold Holding bought the vacant space, it used to house Hayseed Ventures. Before that, it was home to retailer Country Outfitter, until Acumen Brands closed the store in 2015.
Fineberg said he isn’t sure what will be going into the Old Post Office but he is excited for what it may bring. “I really don’t know the details. I think they are in creation. They are being formulated, but it will be exciting,” Fineberg said.
