NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) Foundation recently elected a new slate of officers, naming Mat Mozzoni as president. Mozzoni was the former vice president of the foundation while Mike Luttrell served as president since 2014. Luttrell has dedicated years of leadership, guidance and hard work for the benefit of NWACC, and will continue serving on the board as vice president. New officers also include First Security Bank Senior Vice President Donnie Baker as treasurer and Regions Bank Relationship Manager Jaclyn Henderson as secretary.
The NWACC Foundation is a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of NorthWest Arkansas Community College. The foundation supports NWACC students, faculty, alumni and the greater community by providing resources for growth and development. Private funds raised by the NWACC Foundation enable NWACC to empower lives, inspire learning and strengthen community through accessible, affordable and quality education.
“I’m excited to become president of the Northwest Arkansas Community College Foundation,” said Mozzoni. “I am also thankful for the guidance and mentorship from the outgoing president, Mike Lutrell. Mike guided the foundation as we opened Brightwater and the newly constructed Washington County location. I dedicate myself to building upon these accomplishments as we move forward in increasing community access to higher education.”
Mozzoni is director of sales for Arkansas at Cox Business and leads a high performing team of sales leaders and professionals responsible for providing technology-based business solutions to small, medium and enterprise companies in Arkansas. Mozzoni also serves as a board member of the Mercy Corporate Council and the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Nicole live in Rogers where they raised three children, all of which attended classes at NWACC.
“I know Mat to be a committed volunteer who actively gives back and advocates for his community. He passionately supports NWACC’s mission to provide access to quality, affordable higher education for all, and recognizes the power education has to improve lives and communities. We are grateful to Mike for his many years of leadership, and fortunate to have Mat as NWACC Foundation’s next president,” said NWACC Executive Director of Advancement Liz Anderson.
