An Arkansas high school has been ranked the eighth best high school in the United States by the U.S. News and World Report.
Haas Hall Academy Bentonville is ranked first as the best high school in Arkansas and ranked eighth in the United States. More than 17,500 schools are ranked nationally and 269 schools are ranked in Arkansas. Rankings for schools are based on performance on state-required tests, graduation and preparation for college.
With 184 students and 20 full-time students, Haas Hall Academy Bentonville also ranked first in math and reading proficiency and performance. The school consistently has some of the highest test scores in the state.
Haas Hall Academy also has a campus in Fayetteville that was ranked second best high school in Arkansas and ranked no. 32 nationally. It follows the Bentonville campus in math and reading proficiency and performance rank according to the U.S. News and World Report. However, it ranked first in the college readiness index and college curriculum breadth index which refers to the proportions of seniors who took and passed AP or IB exams.
The next top five high schools in Arkansas below Haas Hall ranked in the top 1,000 nationally.
Bentonville High School at #3 in Arkansas and #512 nationally; Fayetteville High School East at #4 in Arkansas and #524 nationally; Rogers New Technology High School at #5 in Arkansas and #845 nationally; Lisa Academy North High Charter School at #6 in Arkansas and #853 nationally; and Greenbrier High School at #7 in Arkansas and #859 nationally.
Although all of the top seven high schools in Arkansas had high graduation rates, the college readiness rank was significantly less than Haas Hall Academy. The Bentonville campus had a college readiness rate of 94 and the Fayetteville campus rate was 95.2. In comparison, Bentonville High School has a college readiness rate of 51.2 and Fayetteville High School East’s score is 53.6.
