Little Rock-based real estate development team Cushman & Wakefield | Sage Partners recently brokered the sale of the Riverdale Shopping Center off Cantrell Road in Little Rock.
The major shopping center was sold May 20 for just over $16 million to Arkansas group Xcited Riverdale LLC, led by T.J. Lefler of Lefler Capital in Fayetteville. Developers said the area is a prime opportunity, with plans to redevelop outparcels for new tenants, bring in new dining options- such as purchasing partner Travis Hester‘s Eat My Catfish restaurant- and transform the 66,000-SF former Walmart Neighborhood Market, which has been the temporary home to Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts since 2020.
Originally built as the Razorback Square Shopping Center in 1983, the Riverdale Shopping Center is the long-time home of the Riverdale 10 cinema and Whole Hog Cafe, and more recently, an Ace Hardware retail store.
