Little Rock’s Camp Aldersgate has announced the promotion of Shelley Myers from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer-Chief Financial Officer. In addition to overseeing both operations and financial departments, Myers will also have a strong role in assisting programs.
Camp Aldersgate, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization uniquely dedicated to serving individuals with special needs and is accredited by the American Camp Association. Founded in 1947, the organization relies on funding from various sources including public, private, corporate and government support. This year marks a significant milestone, as the camp celebrates 75 years of service to the community. Camp Aldersgate was voted one of the “Best Places for Team Building or Company Retreat” by AMP readers in 2021.
“Shelley has demonstrated her strong business acumen, insight into complex challenges and opportunities, organizational leadership and ability to move the organization with strong systems and infrastructure,” said Camp Aldersgate CEO Sonya S. Murphy. “And Shelley has a true love and respect for our mission.”
Myers joined the organization in September 2020. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University. Myers is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Arkansas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
