A classic Arkansas restaurant chain is mounting a comeback, and the location for the first new restaurant has been announced.
Minute Man, an Arkansas fast food chain founded in the late 1940s, is setting its first restaurant in central Arkansas. Minute Man president Perry Smith announced that Jacksonville has been selected as the home for the new restaurant.
“Jacksonville is a great community and home to a lot of Minute Man fans. Our team is looking forward to bringing our best efforts to ensure we exceed their high expectations,” Smith said in a statement.
An opening date has not yet been set for the restaurant’s opening.
According to Minute Man executives, Jacksonville was selected for the location of the restaurant in large part due to the presence of the Little Rock Air Force Base.
“We chose Jacksonville to relaunch the much-loved and patriotic-themed Minute Man brand because we believe its proximity to Little Rock Air Force Base aligns perfectly with our motto, “Service Is Our Strength.” It also reflects our broader vision of establishing America’s first all veteran-operated quick-serve national restaurant brand,” Minute Man partners and Chief Strategy Officer Brigadier General (Ret.) John E. Michael said.
Minute Man currently operates one restaurant – Minute Man #14 in El Dorado, which is the last heritage location. The El Dorado restaurant is expected to have an updated menu and restaurant experience.
