Think Rubix, a public affairs firm aimed at social, cultural and brand innovation, has announced the promotion of Nia McConnell to Director of Business Development and Operations. McConnell has served as the firm’s project manager since 2021, where she coordinated projects across multiple studios at Think Rubix.
“Nia brings deep, institutional knowledge and expertise to our core mission of making a positive impact through our work in social, cultural and brand innovation,” Tristan Wilkerson, Think Rubix Principal, said. “Her talents combined with her passion for improving our communities makes her the perfect fit for serving our clients even more in this expanded role.”
McConnell, in her new role, will direct day-to-day operations at Think Rubix, in addition to directing operation processes in order to deliver outsized growth for the public affairs firm. McConnell will focus on driving the execution of innovative solutions and services for clients, doing so in strategic partnerships while cultivating new business opportunities and overseeing operations across multiple studios.
Joining Think Rubix in 2019 as a communications associate, McConnell has an expertise in culture, media and storytelling. McConnell, in her first role with the firm, led client engagement and content marketing.
In her previous work as a producer and social media consultant, McConnell also has experience as a program coordinator at one of Arkansas’ historically black colleges and universities (HBCU’s). McConnell graduated from Huston-Tillotson University, a HBCU in Austin, Texas.
