A Central Arkansas barbecue favorite is heading to the Northwest region of the state.
McClard’s Bar-B-Q is establishing a new location in Rogers at 5001 W. Pauline Whitaker Parkway. The restaurant is slated to open in spring 2021, according to its new website, but a date has not been announced.
According to the website, the Northwest Arkansas location will feature McClard’s signature hand-rolled tamales and barbecue.
This is the latest development for the beloved Arkansas restaurant. Restauranteur Lee Beasley acquired the restaurant in May 2020 from former owner Scott McClard, who was the fourth-generation of his family to own the business. McClard, however, remains the manager at the Hot Springs location.
“For him [Beasley], it is really about maintaining McClard’s and making sure it goes forward, ensuring everything recipe and taste wise is the same,” Beasley spokesperson Bobby Dennis told Arkansas Money and Politicsfor a June 2020 magazine feature.
Beasley also owns Bones Chophouse in Hot Springs and Little Rock, the Copper Penny Irish Pub and J&S Italian Villa.
