A groundbreaking ceremony will be held in Maumelle for a new neighborhood community called The Village of Maumelle. The ribbon cutting will begin Friday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at the construction site, north of the intersection of Commerce and Commercial Park Drive. The event is open to the public.
The Village of Maumelle is a continuum living community, one of the first of its kind in Central Arkansas. The community- geared towards seniors, retirees and empty nesters- is being developed by Gene Pfeifer with homes to be built by Ron Harris of Summerwood, Inc.
The 13-acre gated community will feature four to five upscale designs ranging from 1800- SF to 2300- SF, with all homes being energy efficient. It will include 76 town homes, half of which will be two story and half three story, all with elevator availability. 39 detached single-family homes, will also be constructed, eight of which will be 2-bedroom homes, and thirty one 3-bedroom models. All homes will be specifically designed for the acreage, with some rear loading and some front loading garage models.
The Village of Maumelle features will include ADA accommodations, two dog parks, one clubhouse and two Pickleball courts. Additionally, the Property Owners Associations will seek a Home Health Care provider for the community to assist owners as needed for enhanced quality of life.
Located within walking distance of Lake Valencia, The Village of Maumelle will provide the residents convenience. Residents will be able to walk to the nearby park and use the nearby walking trails to access shopping, restaurants, grocery and even driving a golf cart to the Country Club of Arkansas to play a round of golf.
