The state director for the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) has been elected to the national Small Business Development Centers’ (SBDC) board of directors.
Laura Fine was elected on Sept. 3 to a two-year year on the America’s SBDC board of directors. She will be one of 10 members responsible for governing the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
“I am honored to serve on the board and look forward to working on a national level to promote and strengthen the SBDC program so that we can assist more Americans with fulfilling their dreams of business ownership,” she said in a statement.
Previously, Fine served on the national association’s accreditation committee.
Fine joined ASBTDC in 1989 and has served in management positions since 1992. She assumed the role of state director in January 2017.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Central Arkansas and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
