Dr. Larry Hartzell, MD FAAP, has been named the Benjamin and Milton Waner, MD Endowed Chair in Pediatric Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Hartzell is an associate professor of otolaryngology at UAMS College of Medicine. He also practices at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
“It’s an honor to recognize Dr. Larry Hartzell as the chair holder of the Benjamin and Milton Waner, MD Endowed Chair in Pediatric Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,” said Marcy Doderer president and CEO of Arkansas Children’s. “Every day, Dr. Hartzell and the Otolaryngology team deliver our patients and their families a better today and a healthier tomorrow.”
The endowed chair represents “one of the highest honors that the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s can bestow on its most distinguished physicians,” according to an Arkansas Children’s Hospital press release.
Hartzell obtained a bachelor’s degree in zoology with a human biology emphasis from Brigham Young University and obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2005 and a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
