Jesse Briggs of Reydell has been appointed as Southern Region Director for AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Board of Directors, according to Dwain Morris, Board Chairman.
Briggs farms rice, soybeans and corn with his brothers and son on approximately 9,500 acres. He and his brothers began farming in 1979 and in 1988 began farming the well-known Big Mo Farm.
In addition to his duties on the AgHeritage board, Briggs serves on the Farelly Lake Levee District Board. He is a graduate of Dewitt High School and has a General Agricultural Degree from Arkansas State University. He and his wife, Nancy, have one son, Cole.
AgHeritage Farm Credit Services is a financial cooperative with owned and managed assets of approximately $1.15 billion as of December 31, 2016, that provides credit and related services to more than 3,096 farmers, ranchers and producers or harvesters of aquatic products in 24 Arkansas counties. Branch offices are located in Batesville, Brinkley, Dermott, Lonoke, Newport, Pocahontas, Searcy, Star City and Stuttgart.
