Eighteen Arkansas-based companies earned a spot in Inc. Magazine’s recently released list of America’s fastest-growing, privately-owned companies.
Highest among the Arkansas companies is Hughes Technology and its SmartData Dashboard out of Mountain Home, ranked at No. 89. Hughes Technology is an education technology company that identifies at-risk students using data analysis. According to Inc. Magazine’s metrics, the company showed three-year growth of 4,668%.
The Hughes Technology ranking is also an improvement from last year’s list, where the highest ranked Arkansas company was Bold Strategies at No. 259.
The companies combined represent $495.4 million in total revenue and 742 new jobs. Rankings for the companies range from No. 89 all the way to No. 4,798.
Eleven of the 18 companies hail from Northwest Arkansas. Highest among these is SurfCo Restoration & Construction out of Fayetteville, ranked at No. 397. Fayetteville’s Slim Chickens came in at No. 3,600.
Bold Strategies lost its spot this year as the highest-ranked in Arkansas, but the company still ranked highest among the three Rogers-based companies at No. 874. Companies from Lowell and Bentonville also claimed spots in the rankings.
Of the companies based in Central Arkansas, Little Rock’s RMRJ Assets ranked highest at No. 911. Other Little Rock entries include Chenal Family Therapy, Ron Sherman Advertising and the software company Few. First Orion out of North Little Rock and Elite Exteriors Roofing & Restoration out of Hot Springs also made the list.
James + James also appeared on the list for the first time ever. The furniture company was ranked as No.5 in its sector.
Seven million businesses applied for the 2022 Inc. 5000 list. Those that ranked are within the top .07% of the fastest-growing private companies nationwide.
