Arkansas sporting goods manufacturer Tanners Team Sports Inc. recently filled three key roles at the company’s headquarters at the Mid-America Industrial Park in Hot Springs. According to a company press release, the new hires are due to an increase in product demand, as the sporting goods industry rebounds in the post-Covid environment -particularly outdoor sports like baseball and pickleball.
Mike Piatt has been named General Manager for the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary Vulcan Pickleball; Lucia DiGiacomo joined the Customer Service Department on the Walmart account; And Cody Worley also joins the Customer Service Department, on the Academy Sports + Outdoors and Dick’s Sporting Goods major retail chains.
“We began experiencing a major resurgence of demand from retailers as the consumer returned to outdoor athletics and leisure activities in the first quarter of 2021,” said Dusty Thornton, vice president of marketing. “Now, as we turn the corner to 2022, demand is at record levels so we are aggressively aligning our teams to support our customers.”
