An Arkansas health care industry veteran has joined Southern Administrative Services (SAS) as one of its executive officers.
Tim Hill has been named the chief operating officer of Southern Administrative Services, which oversees administration for approximately 30 long-term care facilities in Arkansas. These facilities include four Green House Cottage developments in Little Rock, Magnolia, Paragould and Rison.
As COO, Hill will oversee elder care operations, quality and safety for the facilities, census development and talent management.
John Ponthie, managing member of Southern Administrative Services, cited Hill’s administration experience as a key factor in his hiring.
“Tim has almost 40 years of experience in healthcare administration, most of that here in Arkansas. We are thrilled to have partnered with someone who embodies servant leadership and who has earned the respect of his healthcare colleagues throughout the state,” he said.
“Tim’s genuine personality, team-oriented approach, and established relationships across Arkansas are just what we were looking for in a Chief Operating Officer. We are pleased that he has chosen to lead our team as we look to reimagine long-term care services and facilities in Arkansas.”
Hill most recently served as the chief operating officer for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He joined UAMS in 2011, leading multiple programs, including the Center for Healthcare Enhancement and Development, the UAMS Center for Rural Health, and the Regional Campuses.
He has also served as president and chief executive officer for Arkansas Heart Hospital from 2009-10, North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison from 1998-2009 and Southwest Hospital in Little Rock from 1989-1998.
Hill officially began his position on Aug. 1, 2020.
