The Clinton Foundation has announced two new additions to the Clinton Presidential Center’s management team: Cheryl B. Gittens, Ed.D. (right) and Faith McGown (left). Dr. Gittens joins the organization as Senior Director of Learning Programs and Partnerships. McGown will serve as Director of Development.
“Cheryl and Faith bring a wealth of experience, vision, and enthusiasm to the Clinton Foundation,” said Stephanie S. Streett, Executive Director of the Clinton Foundation. “As we approach our 20th anniversary, we are evaluating our programming with a goal of deepening our impact. Both Cheryl and Faith will be instrumental in this process.”
Dr. Gittens focuses on developing inclusive and equitable programs that are responsive to the needs of the Clinton Center’s community, partners, and visitors, and strategically integrates principles from President Clinton’s lifetime of public service and the ongoing work of the Clinton Foundation. Dr. Gittens also directs data-driven processes to maximize program efficiency and impact.
Most recently, Dr. Gittens served as the Associate Vice Provost of Faculty and Staff Affairs at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she led the strategic direction and implementation of administrative development initiatives for university faculty and staff. During her tenure at UW, she also served as the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Diversity and Scholarship Programs and then as Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer. She earned a doctor of education in higher education administration at George Washington University and social work degrees from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
McGown provides strategic leadership and management of fundraising efforts to sustain and grow philanthropic support for the Clinton Center’s operations and programs. In addition, she will manage a significant portfolio of individual and institutional donors.
For more than 30 years, McGown has successfully supported the mission and financial goals of nonprofit and corporate organizations by securing individual, corporate, and foundation financial support. In addition, she has extensive experience in sales and marketing, public and media relations, and event development and management strategy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and recently completed the Inner MBA program through Sounds True and MindfulNYU. She began her professional career in print and broadcast journalism.
