The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center is getting a new director, according to the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism.
Quantia “Key” Fletcher has been appointed to serve as the director. She succeeds Christina Shutt, who took the role of executive director for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill. Shutt is expected to begin her role on June 8.
Fletcher has served as the deputy director for the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center for eight years and has been part of the museum since 2008. She was officially named director on Thursday, May 20.
“Key has been on the ground floor of establishing and developing Mosaic Templars Cultural Center into the state-of-the-art, quality museum it is today,” Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Secretary Stacy Hurst said in a statement. “She has the vision, understanding, enterprise, skill and professionalism to continue to nurture and grow the legacy of MTCC.”
According to a MTCC release, Fletcher was instrumental in preparing the museum for its grand opening and receiving national accreditation in 2020.
