Ten companies have been selected to participate in the Venture Center’s 2021 FIS Fintech Accelerator program.
Jacksonville, Fla.-based financial and banking technology firm FIS and the Venture Center selected 10 companies representing a range of fintech solutions for the sixth edition of the accelerator. These services include authentication, automation, banking-as-a-service, credit monitoring, customer relationship management, financial wellness, lending and more.
“FIS continues to lead the world of innovation through programs including the FIS Fintech Accelerator, in partnership with The Venture Center,” The Venture Center executive director Wayne Miller said in a statement. “This program has grown immensely in both scope and stature over the past six years, and we are proud to play a pivotal role ushering in a new era of technology alongside the most talented founders in the world.”
During the submission process, FIS and the Venture Center received applications from fintechs in 29 countries, as well as the United States. In this year’s accelerator program, 30 percent of the companies were created by women founders.
The 10 selected companies include:
- Array (credit monitoring)
- AtomicFI (authentication/direct deposit)
- Bankifi (banking-as-a-service)
- BankLabs (lending)
- IQ (automation)
- Long Game (financial wellness)
- OakNorth (lending)
- Railz (data-as-a-service)
- TaxStatus (authentication/lending)
- Vymo (customer relationship management)
This 12-week accelerator will be held virtually starting on Jun 7. The program will have a four-week-program ahead of the main accelerator to prepare the company founders on working with FIS and its clients.
The accelerator will officially kick off with the FIS Fintech Accelerator Virtual Kickoff on June 9 at 11 a.m. Accelerator participants will present their companies, products and services during a Demo Day on Aug. 26, which will be attended by industry executives, potential investors and more.
In 2020, the Venture Center and FIS held the accelerator virtually, welcoming 10 companies to the program. These companies included Cirrus Secure, Cobbler Technologies, Dasceq, Mall IQ, Sequretek, Stratyfy, Silot, Surfly, TrustStamp and XpenseOne.
More recently, the Venture Center wrapped up the third ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator in March 2021.
