Two new members have joined the board of directors for First Orion.
Former Samsung Electronics North America president and CEO Tim Baxter and Highland LP founder Tom Reilley have been named to the board.
“We are pleased to welcome Tim and Tom to the First Orion board as we dramatically grow our footprint in the telecom industry,” First Orion CEO Charles Morgansaid in a statement. “They join First Orion at an exciting growth time while we establish ourselves as the leader in branded calling following our substantial accomplishments in scam protection that services over 100 million mobile subscribers. The addition of Mr. Baxter and Mr. Reilley complements our board of directors’ expertise, and we are confident they will provide valuable insight as we continue to execute our strategic vision, drive profitability and enhance value for all shareholders. We look forward to their contributions and are proud they chose First Orion.”
Baxter serves in senior advisory roles with multiple companies, including McKinsey & Company’s Tech, Media and Telecom Practice, and is an operating partner at Centre Partners and is executive chair of Tastemakers Inc. He will serve as the lead outside director for First Orion.
Reilley co-founded Orka Energy, a geothermal district heating company and founded Highland LP, a biomass investment platform. The company’s first operation was in Pine Bluff.
First Orion reports have 50 percent month-over-month growth and plans to increase its employee count to more than 300 by the end of 2021.
