First Orion held a groundbreaking ceremony today for its new headquarters in the Argenta District in North Little Rock.
Public officials and company representatives gathered at the headquarters’ future location at 520 Main St., near the Argenta Plaza. The building is planned to be six-stories and have 80,000 square feet of space.
North Little RockMayor Joe Smith and First Orion CEO Charles Morgan spoke during the event, and both acknowledged the difficulties of getting the project underway while expressing optimism for the future. In addition to Smith and Morgan, VCCCEO Sam Alley, North Little Rock Chamber of CommerceCEO John Owens and First Security BankVice President John Rutledge attended the ceremony.
In a press release, First Orion executives estimate the headquarters will cost approximately $10 million.
First Orion Corp. provides “call control, call blocking, call transparency and call management solutions to millions of mobile handsets,” according to its company profile. Its phone transparency is aimed at identifying unknown calls and curbing scam calls.
