Shelby Fiegel has been named the director for the University of Arkansas’ Center for Community and Economic Development (CCED). She is stepping into the role after serving as CCED’s managing director.
In her capacity as director, Fiegel is responsible for the Community Development Institute, developing training programs for Arkansas communities and developing external partnerships for UCA.
“I am excited to start this new journey as the UCA Center for Community and Economic Development director,” Fiegel said in a statement. “I look forward to growing our connections across the state to provide high-quality training and technical assistance to Arkansas communities. With the support of our stakeholders and partners, our staff will continue to make communities stronger and more economically viable.”
Fiegel has been certified a Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED)by the Community Development Council and has completed the Mid-South Basic Economic Development Course.
