Workforce Insights, a weekly newsletter powered by LinkedIn’s data resources, published a tech-talent article this month featuring 15 metropolitan areas where talent is surging, with Fayetteville ranking as No. 14 on the list with a 25.6% growth in technological talent in the past three years.
Looking at the fastest three-year growth rates from 2019 to 2022, the rankings for a tech surge are exclusively in southern metro areas and showcase locations starting from a small base when the speed of growth is analyzed. This list excludes long-established tech hubs.
This study also was focused on the full-spectrum of skills in information technology. Other cities that ranked on this list include San Diego, California; Cape Coral, Florida; Austin, Texas; North Port-Sarasota, Florida; Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Las Vegas, Nevada; Asheville, North Carolina; Seattle, Washington; Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; Wilmington, North Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; Los Angeles, California; and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
