The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce has hired a new director of events. Michelle Cothern has been named to the role.
Cothern served as a sales manager for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for 10 years and as Zoned Publications’ Director of Advertising Sales for 11 years. In her role with Zoned Publications, she oversaw multiple satelittle advertising offices and managed events and a magazine publication.
“As a new resident of Fayetteville, I am excited to live and work in one of the greatest cities in Arkansas. I feel blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful team of people at the Chamber, doing a job I feel called to do. Fayetteville already feels like home.”
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications from Ouachita Baptist University.
This is the second recent hire for the Fayetteville Chamber. The organization recently tapped Zane Chenault to serve as its chief economic development officer.
