Superior Group of Companies will be investing $10 million to expand its distribution center in Eudora. The expansion is expected to add 125 new jobs over the course of the next five years.
The Florida-Based company is expected to upgrade the southeastern Arkansas facility – one of two distribution centers that it operates. The other distribution center is located in Sparks, Nev.
“We look forward to this major investment in our Eudora, Arkansas, facility which will support our customers’ evolving requirements through additional capacity and upgraded technology,” Charles Sheppard, senior vice president of global sourcing and distribution, said in a statement.
The expansion project will be aided by a $1,625,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC).
“We’re so pleased Superior has chosen to expand and modernize their facility in Eudora,” said Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, “continuing their long legacy of quality embroidery and apparel manufacturing. With the modernization of their operations and distribution center, they will boost the workforce in a community that will certainly benefit for years to come.”
