The power of electricity is rapidly changing the future of transportation in Northwest Arkansas. That’s why a group of businesses, nonprofits and government agencies created Drive Electric NWA, a weekend event focused on educating the public about the growing importance of electric cars, trucks and e-bikes.
Drive Electric NWA seeks to address all aspects of transportation that come compliments of an electric charge. Car dealerships will be on hand to answer questions about vehicles they’re selling and new models expected in the future, and electric utility representatives can provide information about how the cost of car charging compares to filling up with gas.
Event attendees will be eligible to enter a drawing to win a Vvolt Alpha e-bike provided by Moosejaw. This event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.
