Amy Denton has been named to the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees.
Denton was appointed to the board by Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
The director and chief executive officer of Pediatrics Plus, Denton is a multi-graduate of UCA. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in health and applied sciences and a master’s degree in physical therapy in 1997 and 1998, respectively.
“On behalf of the entire UCA family, I’d like to welcome Ms. Denton to the Board of Trustees,” UCA President Houston Davis said in a statement. “We value her experience, leadership and commitment to the growth and vitality of this institution. We look forward to the impact she will make as a member of the UCA Board of Trustees.”
Denton and her husband Todd acquired Pediatrics Plus, a specialized pediatric health care services provider, in 2002. The company is a partner with UCA, providing clinical instruction for college students in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences.
