Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation announced last Tuesday a gift of $110,000 to Arkansas Children’s Hospital to support statewide oral health screening of third grade students.
According to a news release from Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the results will be used develop a state roadmap for improving children’s oral health through evidence-based prevention services and targeted interventions. This work will be led by Arkansas Children’s Hospital with significant participation by stakeholders statewide, including members of the Children’s Oral Health Coalition.
Funding for this study is a part of Delta Dental of Arkansas Cavity Free Kids initiative, a statewide education and prevention program that seeks to improve children’s oral health through early intervention.
