Stock Market Plummets Amid Coronavirus Fears
It was a rough day on Wall Street yesterday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has plummeted by more than 800 points amid concerns that a new outbreak of coronavirus will negatively impact the global economy.
In a press briefing on Monday, Feb. 24, World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus confirmed that there were coronavirus cases in Italy, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Korea, in addition to the Wuhan region of China.

Bloomberg Mounting Massive Campaign Effort in Arkansas
Presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is ramping up for a massive campaign in Arkansas. Bloomberg campaign officials say the effort is expected to be the largest ground effort in Arkansas during a presidential primary.
During a conference call on Feb. 24, multiple campaign officials laid out Bloomberg’s strategy for capturing Arkansas, as well as Oklahoma and Tennessee.

UAMS AR-IMPACT Program Receives $147K Grant from Blue & You Foundation
A new grant will help the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) expand its efforts to combat opioid addiction throughout Arkansas.
The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas presented the health system with a $147,000 grant, which is earmarked for UAMS AR-IMPACT program, a digital health network that connects physicians with UAMS experts via live video to discuss opioid management and dependency reduction.

SEC Denies Waiver for Razorbacks to Play Red-White Game in Little Rock
The Razorbacks football team will be playing its annual Red-White game in Fayetteville this year after the Southeastern Conference denied the university’s waiver to play the game in Little Rock.
In 2018, the Razorbacks held the Red-White game while construction at Razorback Stadium was ongoing. Athletics department officials had planned to hold the game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on even-numbered years.
