CTEH, a scientific consulting firm focused on emergency preparedness, response and recovery, has been acquired by Montrose Environmental Group.
Based in North Little Rock, CTEH provides a range of services as a management, technology and science consulting firm. These services include environmental data collection and management, safety, incidence management, and toxicology and human health consulting.
The company was founded in 1997 and has more than 170 employees. While the company’s headquarters is in Arkansas, CTEH has employees located in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Houston, Texas; Indianapolis, Ind.; Jackson, Miss.; New Orleans, La.; Portland, Ore.; San Antonio, Texas; Carlsbad, Calif.; Saratoga Springs, New York; and Seattle, Wash.
“For nearly 25 years, CTEH has built a reputation for providing the reliable science, timely information and advice needed to help safeguard workers, communities and the environment,” Phil Goad, Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of CTEH, said in a statement. “A Montrose partnership is an exciting evolution in our company’s future, which will allow us to further expand our team of internationally-recognized experts to offer an unprecedented breadth and scope of services.”
Montrose Environmental Group is a California-based environmental services companies. According to its company website, Montrose offers testing and lab services, leak detection and repair, soil and groundwater remediation, water treatment, biogas solutions, regulatory consulting, and ecosystem consulting.
The terms of the acquisition were undisclosed. Montrose utilized funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management to finance the acquisition.
